Helo!
Spring is officially here. As of the March equinox last week, the light is returning. More light means more plants, and I’m excitedly gearing up for a year full of flowers, photography and strange botanical tales to unravel.
My first update is that I’ve just published a website:
womanwithplants.com
You can find all previous Wild Welsh Plants essays here and can also sign up to receive essays via the website (if you’d like to forward it to friends who are unfamiliar with substack, for example).
Additional botanical content will be added to the website throughout the year, always highlighting Wales’ rich botanical heritage and exploring ways of experiencing and connecting with plants.
Following the success of the Cennin Pedr / Wild Daffodil article I wrote for Cwlwm earlier this year, I’m aiming to broaden the reach of these essays and collaborate with more botanical publications and organisations promoting plant narratives and diverse perspectives. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
Wood Anemone / Blodyn y Gwynt coming soon…
